BAUMGARDNER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Voices of North Georgia is proud to sponsor the Baumgardner Scholarship Award, an annual scholarship created to help further the education of area high school students interested in pursuing a career in Vocal Performance or Vocal Education. The scholarship was created in memory and honor of Dr. Kenneth Baumgardner. Dr. Baumgardner was a charter member of the Gainesville Chorale and remained involved with the group throughout his life. He served as a professor in the music department at Brenau University for many years and is quite a legend in the Gainesville/Hall County area.

The Baumgardner scholarship award is presented during the opening performance of our Spring concert. Interested applicants can submit their choir scholarship application by the deadline of March 31st each year. This music scholarship supports aspiring singers by providing valuable scholarships for North Georgia singers to advance their musical education and experience.
Qualifications for the scholarship award include a written application, a brief essay describing why the student is interested in pursuing a degree in music, a listing of musical accomplishments and awards received, and their GPA and SAT scores.
