Great Day of Singing
This concert will focus on the great American tradition of spiritual singing. It will feature stirring, beautiful arrangements of spirituals from a variety of arrangers.
The chorus will sing mainly a capella selections with some piano accompaniment.
The performances will be Friday evening, October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, October 24th at 3:00 p.m. in the main sanctuary at Gainesville Presbyterian Church.
Sing a Song of Christmas
This year’s holiday performances will feature a great variety of both sacred and secular favorites. A small instrumental ensemble will add to our performance of beloved songs of Christmas both past and present.
The performances will be on Friday and Saturday evening, December 3rd and 4th at 7:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
The Singing, Swinging Sixties: Our Annual Gala
Giving a nod to the great pop song writers of the 1960s in a cabaret-style dessert theater featuring both choral and solo selections. Composers/musicians represented will include the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Elvis Presley, Peter, Paul and Mary, the Mommas, and the Poppas, to name a few.
Presented on Saturday, March 5th, in the Banquet Hall at Gainesville First Baptist Church with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Voices of North Georgia’s final concert of the 2021-2022 Season will feature a first performance for the chorus of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Mass in C major, Op. 86. This composition, written when Beethoven was writing some of the greatest examples of Classical music, features chorus, a solo quartet and orchestra. It will be a joy sing and to hear this beautiful and dramatic composition.
Performances will be on Friday evening, April 29th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, May 1st at 3:00 p.m. in the main sanctuary at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
